from nowhere

"A sadistic bandit, Gordo (Fernando Sancho), expands his gang by organizing jailbreaks and press-ganging the escapees into joining up with him. One such escapee is Arizona Colt (Giuliano Gemma) but Colt is also a fast shooting bounty hunter who is able to outsmart Gordo and go his own way. Some time later, a mission to case the Blackstone Hill bank results in one of Gordo's men, Kay (Giovanni/Nello Pazzafini), silencing a local girl, Dolores (Rosalba Neri). Colt subsequently agrees to track Kay down: for a price. Unfortunately Colt's actions anger Gordo and put the whole town in danger."

cricket spin :: december galuminum foil sessions

I recently bought three bags of holiday candy-- hershey's kisses and peppermint balls-- and have been relentlessly eating all of them ever since. Cricket Spin some how reminds me of that. When you see those candy-daydreams in movie sequences where the characters are walking or floating through this magical land made only of candy and sugary goodness. It is painfully like the sweet high I obtain from each peppermint ball, and then the aching candy hangover the morning after.

winter in the bay

It has been raining a lot lately, and suprisingly it is bringing out some of the nicer points of Berkeley, and is reminding me of The Graduate. So, as an upfront hurrah, I have decided to post a couple songs that really personify this feeling. I also have The Golden Morning Breaks, on the second album from Paris-born Colleen. And as written, "With this second album, Colleen brings her original soundscapes to life and explores a more organic and instinctive way of working." I say it is massively enjoyable during an early morning shower. Can you feel the California grey?

rio de la muerte

So I recently got in touch with an old friend of mine from way back when and found that some of his music is up online. He told me he is currently on route to Miami for more recording with the Southernaires and afterwards will be putting out a new album on anti-creative records. So needless to say, I can't wait. I remeber Rio when he was beginning on guitar, and then when he got his first strumstick and we held a new years eve performance of dueling spoons vs. strumstick. His sound has really grown a lot since first I heard it-- now resembling something straight from someone's living room-- harsh yet melodically beautiful and I know there will be more amazingness coming out of him soon. In fact, I think it's about time he brings his soul to the Bay Area, I think we're ready already.
